## Description

In the framework of the International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia, a discussion is convened around the book RELATOS DIVERSOS. RELATOS DIVERSOS presents writings based on stories of discovery, resilience, and trajectories of people who want to be, in large and small towns in the interior of Uruguay, where the complexities that exist in our country are reflected. This work is born from more than forty anonymous interviews conducted as part of several studies promoted by the United Nations Population Fund, UNFPA, as part of its action for LGBTIQ+ rights. The conversation will feature the writer Margarita García (author of the book) along with Manu Rivoir (cultural manager, originally from Colonia, sexiled from the countryside), Brandon Ferreira (Head of Diversity - MIDES), and Diana Bentancor (originally from Florida). Additionally, students from Performing Arts at the Catholic University of Uruguay (UCU) will participate with readings of some chapters of the book. The invitation is to meet in literary creation, the arts, and the simple but powerful act of conversing. Open the dialogue! The event will feature opening remarks by Sociologist Juan José Meré, UNFPA advisor, and authorities from Teatro Solís.
