## Description

The course is promoted by the USP Academy 2026 program and offered by FAU-USP and Poli USP, in collaboration with the Materials Design for Transition research group of Politecnico di Milano. It promotes reflections on how materials can drive design processes and sustainable transitions, and addresses systemic forces—actors, flows, and value chains—that determine what becomes resource and what becomes waste, to propose innovative design concepts based on a real case: urban tree management wood from the USP campus. It is an intensive five-day course combining theory, practical workshops, and lectures by invited researchers and industry professionals. Open and free for all, with limited spots. Registration open until May 31, 2026.
