## Description

Arts District Liberty Station is excited to announce our newly selected David G. Fleet Curator-in-Residence @franciscoeme ✨

Through this program Francisco and his team at @thefrontarteycultura will be participating in an 18-month residency offered to selected curators from the San Diego/Northern Baja region to curate exhibitions at Arts District Liberty Station, work with our Emerging Artists in Residence for Visual Arts, and collaborate with our team to provide curated community programming and support for the overall curatorial vision at our campus.

Francisco Eme (he/him) is a composer, multimedia artist, and curator whose practice integrates sound, visual media, and community engagement. He currently serves as Arts & Culture Director at Casa Familiar and Gallery Director at The FRONT Arte & Cultura, a transborder cultural space in San Ysidro connecting San Diego and Tijuana.

Although this closes our incredible curatorial chapter with the amazing North County O.G.’s, @thehillstreetcountryclub, we are excited to now channel South Bay energy and collaborate with Francisco and his team at The FRONT from Casa Familiar.

Their first exhibition, Fragmented Stories, will feature the works of Emerging Artist Residency Alumni Eden DeLaVara @edendelavara and Marcela Alarcón López @mmmmmmala.mal at Gallery 201 from March 12th to July 17th. Opening Reception on Thursday, March 12th from 4-7pm.
