## Description

The Intendencia de Maldonado continues its actions to promote responsible pet ownership through its free canine castration service. Special sessions are held at the Refugio Departamental, located on Route 39, kilometer 11.500 (Canteras de Marelli). Reservations are managed Monday to Friday, from 8:00 to 14:00 hours, by calling 4224 4897 or directly on the IDM website. Mandatory requirements include a valid ID, a photocopy, and an email address for signing documentation. Dogs must fast for 12 hours prior to surgery, be transported with a collar and leash, and be at least six months old. Braquicephalic breeds are excluded due to high surgical risk.
