## Description

Marianela Boan Danza presents La Vida No es Sueño, a contemporary adaptation of Calderón de la Barca's La Vida es Sueño. Directed by Marianela Boán, the play focuses on the conflict between two characters, Segismundo and Basilio, symbolizing the universal tensions between freedom and power, destiny and will, truth and manipulation. It also explores the father-son relationship and tolerance for differences through a duel between two performers. The production uses a fusion of contemporary dance, aerial dance, theater, and visual arts, set in a minimalist space with two performers, suspended silks, a screen, and a projector.
