Hailing from San Jacinto in the Montes de María region, he is known as “el heredero de la cumbia” — the heir to cumbia — carrying forward the legacy of his grandfather, the legendary Andrés Landero, widely celebrated as “el rey de la cumbia.”Leading a tight, high-caliber band, Landero delivers dynamic, dance-driven performances that ignite diverse audiences — from seated concert halls to large outdoor festivals. His shows combine masterful accordion playing, powerful Afro-Colombian rhythms, and original compositions that honor tradition while feeling fresh and contemporary.
