Discover a selection of paintings by Rayan Yasmineh now on view at MO.CO. Montpellier Contemporain as part of the group exhibition L’esprit de l’atelier avec Djamel Tatah, which explores painting through the idea of the studio as a space of experimentation, where personal narratives, art history, and contemporary concerns intersect.

Born in 1996 in Paris, where he lives and works, Yasmineh graduated from the Beaux-Arts de Paris and the Villa Arson in Nice. His paintings intertwine Middle Eastern culture, Mesopotamian myths, and Persian miniature references with contemporary Western identities. Combining ornamental profusion, vibrant colors, and precise construction of lines and planes, his work reflects a conceptual approach in which the physicality of painting and its making are as significant as the subject itself. Through anachronistic and everyday references, Yasmineh articulates a plural identity that bridges Arab and European cultural narratives.
