## Description

Nené, Cuqui, La Polaquita y Sharon compete in the Final of Señorita Argentina, a contest to choose a new country model. Each embodies a different Argentina, seeking public support through tests and talents. Only one will win the light blue and white band and the Phrygian cap. Only one will decide the country's future. Señorita Argentina is an original play that uses beauty pageants to discuss country "models", reviewing elements of Argentine identity in a moment where the concept of nation is debated. Playing with the identification between "model-person" and "model-project", each character represents ideological/economic/identitary configurations that have traversed the country's history. Using a grotesque language, it recovers the legacy of Urdapilleta and Parakultural, constructing bodies that allow seeing the monstrousness of each participant, their miseries, their exacerbated morality, and their embodiment of the national.
