## Description

The JazzB will receive the Surtango Quinteto for a presentation focused on the aesthetic and historical research of tango. The project explores the intersections between the tradition of the genre, improvisation, and contemporary instrumental music. Formed in 2022, the quintet brings together instrumentalists from Argentina, Chile, and Brazil. The repertoire proposes a structural overview that ranges from milongas and the sound of orchestras like Aníbal Troilo and Osvaldo Pugliese to the Nuevo Tango language of Astor Piazzolla, covering compositions like "Adios Nonino" and "Libertango". With their own arrangements, the group articulates classical rigor with current dynamics.
