The VII International Seminar Bacia Cultural Sociobiodiversa da Chapada do Araripe – Heritage of Humanity, with the theme Heritage and Childhood, is an initiative of the Fecomércio Ceará System through SESC. It will take place from May 21 to 23, 2026, at the headquarters of Fundação Casa Grande - Memorial do Homem Kariri in Nova Olinda, Ceará. The event is free, offers certification, and registration is done through a link. The seminar aims to discuss Heritage and Childhood, recognizing children's protagonism in valuing natural and cultural heritage as a guarantee of a protected, living future shared between generations. This seventh edition will bring together 5 countries, 6 universities, and the local community for interdisciplinary and intercultural dialogues, sharing experiences, knowledge, and practices that recognize children and adolescents as subjects of rights, agents of memory, and active participants in decision-making about the territory. By integrating heritage education, nature, culture, and social participation, the seminar contributes to socio-biodiversity sustainability and the collective construction of more inclusive and democratic heritage policies. The event is open to all those interested in the cultural and natural heritage of Chapada do Araripe, featuring conferences, discussion groups, exhibitions, and workshops.
