In the 1990s, thousands of indigenous women in Peru were subjected to forced sterilizations under a state policy that violated their rights and marked their lives forever. Hatun Mama addresses this historical wound through Quilla, a teenager who dreams of being a mother and who arrives at a health post without suspecting that she will be a victim of deception.
