Educar para os Direitos Humanos

The UFPE Department of Letters, in partnership with the Dom Hélder Câmara Human Rights Commission (CDHDHC), offers an interdepartmental elective course "Educar para os direitos humanos (IN 445)". It is open to undergraduate students from any UFPE course who can enroll from August 10 to 17. 50 spots are available. For the 2026.2 semester, classes will start on August 19, held on Wednesdays from 9h to 12h at Miniauditório 1, Centro de Artes e Comunicação (CAC) of UFPE. The course has a workload of 60 hours, covering sociological and historical aspects of human rights, human rights and citizenship, and operational issues of human rights. It will be coordinated by Professor Maria José de Matos Luna.
